Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at SeaHunter Boats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various manufacturing processes and technologies, with a focus on driving efficiency and quality in our production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate, resolve, implement, and continuously improve processes, speed, and quality of the fixed length assembly line to improve roll times.
  • Team Leadership: Provide a managed work environment that openly promotes creativity, innovation, brainstorming, and individualism with ensuring alignment with company and process improvements.
  • Tool Evaluation: Evaluate the most efficient tools for the job; then facilitate using and storing these tools.
  • Design Review: Evaluate parts and procedures on designs introduced in manufacturing.
  • Engineering Support: Assist with resolving engineering issues that can interrupt production delivery schedules.
  • Change Management: Prepare and submit engineering change requests / notices and deviations for technical problem resolutions.
  • Project Management: Provide technical support/project management as assigned to engineering special projects.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5s, Six Sigma skills
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with all business stakeholders
  • Time Management: Strong time and project management skills; highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple duties
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, influence and motivate a team
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work and facilitate within a high-pressure, fast-paced working environment
  • Calm Under Pressure: Works well under pressure and able to remain calm in difficult situations
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering: Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering
  • CAD Experience: Solidworks & CAD experience
  • CNC Programming: CNC Programming
  • Marine Manufacturing Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 years experience working with marine manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
  • Manufacturing Experience: Hands on manufacturing experience for industrial equipment and familiarity with both traditional and advanced manufacturing methods
