Position Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer specializing in Electric Propulsion Systems to join our dynamic team at L3Harris Technologies.

Role Responsibilities:
This engineering role will focus on the advancement and production of electric propulsion technologies. The successful candidate will engage in the development, testing, and manufacturing of various electric thrusters, including Hall thrusters, arcjets, and ion thrusters.

Key Duties:
1. Collaborate with senior engineers to support the design and engineering analysis of electric thrusters and their components.
2. Develop test protocols, acquire necessary equipment, execute tests, analyze results, and compile comprehensive test reports.
3. Facilitate the progression of product and process development from conceptualization to integration into spacecraft.
4. Assist in the investigation and resolution of hardware and process discrepancies identified through risk management or corrective actions.
5. Work closely with project teams, management, and technical personnel to devise and implement engineering solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Knowledge:
Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, materials science, electrical circuitry, plasma physics, and electric propulsion is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with MATLAB, engineering analysis software, or CAD tools is preferred. Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, mechanical assembly, or testing processes is a plus. Strong teamwork capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
