Access Control and Security Systems Technician

Position Overview

Job Responsibilities:


• A minimum of 5 years' experience in servicing and programming commercial security systems, including access control, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems is required.


• At least 5 years of experience in diagnosing issues with networked security systems, including interfacing with client networks.


• Equivalent experience in roles such as a multi-site Network Support Specialist or similar is acceptable.


• Capability to assist customer systems through remote diagnostics while maintaining a high level of professionalism.


• Essential knowledge and hands-on experience with internet technologies and networking.


• Ability to work autonomously and effectively resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.


• A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record are mandatory.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Current certification or proficiency in any of the following areas is advantageous:


• Access Control Systems: Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.


• Video Surveillance: Axis, Exacq, Milestone.


• Video Management Systems: Lynx, WAVE, Bosch, and Hanwha.


• OSHA certifications: 10/30 – boom/aerial lift.
