Position: Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by overseeing the maintenance and operational integrity of the facility. This includes managing repairs, cleanliness, modifications, and construction projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep of the building and surrounding grounds.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility in accordance with company standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment, utilizing operational manuals and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Assist the General Manager in ensuring that contracted services meet established specifications, including inspecting completed work.
  • Implement security and emergency preparedness protocols effectively.
  • Perform regular inspections of the facility and document findings.
  • Propose both proactive and reactive maintenance strategies, including mechanical, electrical, and design modifications.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks while developing long-term maintenance strategies.
  • Communicate safety protocols to all employees.
  • Handle additional responsibilities such as waste management.
  • Verify that fire extinguishers are compliant and replace them as necessary.
  • Contribute to the overall operational success by undertaking other essential duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a Federal and State criminal history background check is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is necessary.
  • A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a professional or managerial capacity is required.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in vendor and contractor management, as well as equipment repair and installation, is essential.
  • Knowledge of fire extinguisher training is a plus.

  • Adherence to all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with management and colleagues.
  • Work closely with cultivation team members and the Cultivation Director.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethics, accountability, and proactivity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-production setting.
  • Extensive experience in inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance, planning, execution, and root cause analysis.
