Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Tech Solutions, Inc. in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on all equipment within the warehouse facility operations. This includes shipping, packaging, and supporting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair all shipping equipment and facilities support equipment.
  • Determine the appropriate components and repair equipment to keep on hand to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate, implement, and participate in scheduling preventive maintenance on all shipping equipment and facilities support equipment.
  • Maintain and repair as needed all lift trucks, straps, tapers, box makers, and conveyors.
  • Perform general housekeeping/maintenance duties such as operating a floor scrubber, painting, and replacing light bulbs.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation, including cGMP documents.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions for the safe performance of assigned duties, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Perform warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Able to be flexible with work schedule and willing to work overtime as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced warehousing, manufacturing, or packaging environment.
  • Experience with solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Strong ability to install, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, painting, and other related components of shipping & packaging equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical drawings, including floor plans.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team player with co-workers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and written English.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with conveyor mechanics and controls.
  • Experience in a Food Supplement, Food Contact, or Food manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Institution certification or degree.
