Sales Territory Developer

Job Summary
This role involves identifying and developing opportunities for sales growth within a designated geographical territory. As a Sales Territory Developer, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and expanding our customer base, working closely with Regional Sales Managers, food brokers, and category buyers to achieve yearly sales objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Lead Follow-up: Effectively manage inbound sales leads, ensuring timely responses and providing exceptional customer service to drive sales growth.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to recommend tailored solutions.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and process data to inform business decisions, driving sales profitability and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and support plans for introducing new products, identifying product line gaps, and resolving potential issues.
- Market Awareness and Opportunity Identification: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity, recommending opportunities to differentiate and grow our services.
- Spreadsheets and Reporting: Create and maintain accurate spreadsheets to communicate issues and opportunities effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior sales experience preferred; 3+ years of sales experience advantageous.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
- Able to multitask, be a responsive problem solver under pressure, and work well with others and independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
