Job Overview

HireUp Talent is seeking a highly skilled General Manager to join our team. As the face of our restaurant, you will be responsible for executing our business plan, achieving sales and profit targets, and providing exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will lead by example, demonstrating our company values and competencies necessary to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Profits:
  • Meet budgeted sales and controllable cost targets, reviewing inventory and reconciling orders and invoices
  • Develop sales-building strategies to increase restaurant profitability
  • Control all aspects of P&Ls, analyze data, and develop plans to resolve unfavorable trends in controllable items, QSC, sales, and profits
  • Develop and execute local store marketing plans in response to market conditions
  • Respond to competitor activities aimed at diverting restaurant business
  • Develop and execute plans to improve sales and profits
  • Guests (Guest & Restaurant Operations):
  • Train employees on responding to guest complaints and providing high-level guest service while meeting guest service times and company targets
  • Review guest feedback metrics and develop plans to increase guest satisfaction
  • Identify, evaluate, and respond appropriately to labor efficiency problems, cash/security issues, and government agency inspections or visits
  • Ensure company standards for product quality and product safety are consistently met
  • Implement safety guidelines and practices
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability
  • Maintain, modify as necessary, and utilize restaurant systems to provide consistent operations and guest satisfaction
  • People Management:
  • Determine staffing requirements and ensure hiring processes result in accurate staffing levels
  • Ensure restaurant personnel are trained to execute products to company standards
  • Train employees to identify problems and develop alternative solutions
  • Train employees on running effective shifts, coaching and developing their employees, and creating engagement within the restaurant
  • Accurately maintain company records
  • Review trends in turnover and meet turnover goals
  • Understand employment laws, manage employee performance, and the employee complaint and resolution process
  • Conduct weekly meetings to discuss key business priorities
Requirements
  • Education and Licensing:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred
  • Food Safety certified
  • Experience:
  • Over 2 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in quick-service restaurants
  • Microsoft Office and general systems experience required
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
