Key Responsibilities of the Senior Educator:
  1. Curriculum Development:
    • Design and implement engaging lesson plans and activities suitable for various age groups.
    • Encourage a passion for learning through innovative and interactive teaching techniques.
    • Monitor and evaluate children's growth and modify activities as needed.
  2. Classroom Leadership:
    • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students.
    • Effectively manage daily routines and transitions.
    • Address behavioral challenges with constructive guidance and support.
  3. Parental Engagement:
    • Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
    • Conduct parent-teacher meetings and provide regular feedback.
    • Encourage family participation in school events and activities.
  4. Health and Safety Standards:
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the classroom and shared spaces.
    • Comply with all health and safety regulations and protocols.
    • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to guarantee their safety and well-being.
  5. Professional Growth:
    • Engage in continuous professional development and training sessions.
    • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education.
    • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to exchange ideas and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.

  • Completion of state-required pre-service training.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. in relation to handling children.
