Senior Accountant Job Description

Inuvo is a market leader in AI-driven digital marketing solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Partner with other senior accountants to manage the monthly close process and prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Accounting Functions: Collaborate on AP, AR, billing, and collections, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Audit Support: Work together on audit preparations and support, coordinating with external auditors.
  • Financial Insights: Provide financial insights on KPIs and cost structures to leadership.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce internal controls, supporting process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
  • SEC Filings: Assist in preparing SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support team development across accounting functions.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
