Position Overview

The Pasco County School District is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Speech Language Pathologist. This position is essential for supporting students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, organizing, and executing therapy programs tailored to the unique needs of each student, while adhering to all relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with communication challenges.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding student services.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting therapy as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Enrollment in or acceptance into a Master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field within one year of hire.

Licensure Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Florida certification in the relevant field or appropriate state license.

Additional Information
  • Encouragement for Bachelor level and clinical fellowship year (CFY) applicants to apply.
  • Opportunities for mentoring and supervision towards obtaining the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

Compensation Details
