Job Summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients/patients/residents with various speech problems and swallowing disorders.

You will assess clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses. You will provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatments accordingly.

You will instruct clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises and provide consultation for clients/patients/residents working through speech and language treatment processes. You will ensure all speech and language-related standards, policies, protocols, and quality requirements are met.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our clients/patients/residents.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
