Key Responsibilities:

Regulate the movement of vehicular traffic at sites where utility operations are conducted. Guide traffic through the area using authorized traffic signals. Transition between various job sites as required. Utilize a stop/slow paddle and flag, each weighing less than one pound. Adhere to all safety and health regulations. Report any injuries, regardless of severity, to the Foreperson immediately. Conduct daily inspections and testing of assigned tools and equipment. Perform all tasks from ground level. Typical working hours consist of a 10-hour shift. Maintain a clean work area and ensure safe job site conditions. Execute additional tasks as directed by Supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Education & Experience

Ability to provide documentation of work experience, education, and certifications acquired throughout your career.

Pre-Employment Screening

Candidates may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and/or motor vehicle record assessment.

Licenses & Certifications:

Valid Driver's License required; willingness to obtain a valid CDL within 90 days of employment is preferred.

Travel Expectations:

Must be open to traveling out of state for emergency storm response work.

RARE (less than 10%): Sitting, Crawling, and Climbing Poles OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Body Twisting, Sense of Touch, Range of Motion, Pushing, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Stairs, Balancing, and Lifting up to 50 lbs. FREQUENT (up to 66%): Walking, Manual Dexterity, Distant Vision, Climbing On/Off Truck, Gripping, Lifting Over 10 lbs. up to 50 lbs., Reaching, Depth Perception, Lifting, Carrying, and Pulling. CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Standing, Clear Communication, Visual Acuity, Hearing within Speech Range, Color Vision, Lifting up to 10 lbs.

Safety Considerations

Given the inherently hazardous nature of this industry and the necessity to work with or near dangerous equipment, employees must possess adequate vision to assess distances and coordinate the use of tools and equipment. They should be able to maintain focus for extended periods, endure various weather conditions while completing tasks, wear personal protective equipment as needed, enter and exit vehicles multiple times daily, navigate diverse terrains, and perform job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour workday. Additionally, employees must effectively communicate with others, comprehend written and verbal instructions, and manage conflicts professionally.
