The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily activities involved in producing products, focusing on efficiency, quality, and employee development. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to drive improvement and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a safe and productive work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve profitability.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, collaborating with direct reports and other teams as needed.
- Lead the development of a 5S culture, aiming for world-class status.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate reporting and scrapping in production workbenches.
- Conduct performance evaluations, providing guidance, counseling, and training to employees.
- Collaborate with program management teams to meet program timing, including conferencing with management, engineering, and other staff.
- Work overtime as required to meet production demands.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical field (preferred but not required).
- Experience in plastic molding and assembly (preferred).
- Strong analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Dynamic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
- Superb computer literacy, including MS Office.
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
- Working knowledge of QS9000, ISO14001, and TS16949 standards (as applicable to the position).
