Cardiac Sonographer Echo Tech RDCS

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer (Echo Tech) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall treatment and management of cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Echocardiograms: Utilize state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment to perform echocardiograms, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate diagnostic results.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to assess patient needs, develop imaging protocols, and determine optimal imaging techniques.
- Maintain Proficiency: Stay up-to-date with the latest echocardiography techniques, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, as well as Doppler and color flow imaging.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Image Acquisition and Documentation: Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for image acquisition, documentation, and reporting, maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including equipment maintenance, image quality assessment, and ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the echocardiography procedure, answering questions and providing support as needed to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicate imaging findings, and contribute to comprehensive treatment plans.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about advancements in cardiovascular imaging technology and techniques, incorporating new developments into practice to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Professionalism and Compassion: Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive environment within the healthcare team.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Credential: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Licensure: California state licensure as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS).
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in cardiovascular sonography preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
