Fire Protection Specialist

Firefighter Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter to join our team at the Village of Peoria Heights. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents throughout the village, providing fire protection and rescue services to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide fire protection and rescue services
- Operate fire engines and other equipment as needed
- Participate in regular training and drills to maintain skills and certifications
- Work collaboratively with other emergency responders and village staff
Requirements:
- Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification
- Basic Operations Firefighter certification
- Ability to work 8, 12, or 24 hour shifts
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
