Fire Restoration Specialist

A Fire Restoration Technician at ServiceMaster Restore is responsible for overseeing the restoration process of fire-damaged properties. This includes monitoring, inspecting, and completing tasks to ensure the completion of drying, demolition, pack-out of contents, and various fire restoration activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Retrieve work orders, ensure equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck, and arrive at the work site on time.
* Explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers, using printed materials as a guide with or without supervisor.
* Complete assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job with urgency.
* Perform fire/smoke damage repair and tasks, including water extraction, pack-out of contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, light construction, and demolition as directed by supervisor.
* Ensure equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled, and report any equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.
* Inspect jobs after completion, obtain customer signatures for approval purposes, and request payments when necessary.
* Make daily adjustments to the drying plan based on meter readings.
Requirements
* Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Good problem-solving and customer service skills.
* Knowledge of the disaster restoration industry.
* Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
* Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
The physical demands of this job include moving up to 70 pounds frequently, standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching. The work environment may include inside and outside working conditions, with or without air conditioning and heating.
