Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Nurse Hustle is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Peoria, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to conduct CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Work directly with radiologists to obtain specific results
  • Stand-by call required
  • Perform special procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination
  • Exhibit competency in performing and filming angiographic and CT radiographic procedures
  • Deviates from routines when the patient's condition requires it or at the request of the radiologist
  • Knowledgeable of catheters, guidewires, and sterile trays and prepares these items as necessary
  • Obtains and documents accurate pre and post procedure information as applicable
  • Follow JCAHO patient safety goals
  • Maintains quality care throughout the procedure
  • Practices radiation protection through shielding whenever possible
  • Demonstrates a practical problem solving approach to patient moving and handling issues
  • Demonstrates skills to promote patient and staff safety through appropriate use of lift equipment
  • Performs patient bedside lab testing and associated quality control in compliance with medical provider's orders and hospital lab procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree In Radiologic Technology
  • Or Certificate of completion of Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT-registered in Radiologic Technology
  • IEMA-licensed by the State of Illinois
  • BLS
