Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

At Elk Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team.

About the Role

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing in providing, planning, coordinating, or managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to residents and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
  • Recruit, hire, provide orientation/training, and retain a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out nursing services responsibilities.
  • Assist with scheduling and performing rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
  • Maintain administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for proper charting and documentation of care and medications and treatments.
  • Responsible for quality assurance, infection control, and staff development as determined by the Director of Nursing.
  • Develop and implement the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the resident population.
  • Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
  • Adhere to scope of practice limitations based on qualifications.
  • Occasionally perform patient care duties.
  • In the absence of the Director of Nursing, the duties and responsibilities of the DON may be delegated to this position.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years' nursing supervisory experience in the provision of direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred; previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment desirable.
  • Nursing degree from accredited college preferred; graduation from approved RN or LPN program required.
  • A current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Colorado required.
  • Current, valid CPR certification required.
