Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Conn\'s. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and processing transactions for customers purchasing furniture and home appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior customer service as per company standards.
  • Provide face-to-face assistance to customers through the buying process to include payment, finance options, pick up and deliveries.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and team-focused environment.
  • Process cash, credit card, and check transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify and reconcile daily cash registers and ensure proper accounting of funds while maintaining security expectations.
  • Handle returns, refunds, and exchanges according to store policies.
  • Follow security procedures to prevent theft and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain awareness of current advertised merchandise and promotions.
  • Route all calls to the intended person and deliver all messages to sales staff in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain current customer and potential customer relationships.
  • File and maintain the required store reports, ensuring they are completed daily and sent to the corporate office by the specified dates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all credit policies, procedures, and government regulations.

Requirements:

  • Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency.
  • Outgoing, engaging, and passionate demeanor willing to interact with customers both in person and over the phone.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other associates.
  • Learn and adapt to current technology systems.
  • Coachable and open to feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a retail store environment. Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, packing, and lifting boxes for shipment, storing inventory, and using tech equipment and computers.
