Ultrasound Technician Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technician is a vital member of our medical team, responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to assist physicians in diagnosing patient conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of ultrasound principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices to capture high-quality images.
  • Recognize normal and pathological conditions, and troubleshoot and resolve ultrasound-related issues.
  • Contribute to performance improvement projects within the Ultrasound Department.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with consumers and staff.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Ultrasound Technologist Program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (issued by ARDMS - RDMS).
  • RVT strongly preferred.
  • BLS certification (through the AHA) required.
  • Two (2) years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting.
