The Ultrasound Technician is a vital member of our medical team, responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to assist physicians in diagnosing patient conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of ultrasound principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices to capture high-quality images.
- Recognize normal and pathological conditions, and troubleshoot and resolve ultrasound-related issues.
- Contribute to performance improvement projects within the Ultrasound Department.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with consumers and staff.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Ultrasound Technologist Program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (issued by ARDMS - RDMS).
- RVT strongly preferred.
- BLS certification (through the AHA) required.
- Two (2) years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting.
