Job Overview

PLCs Plus International Inc is seeking a skilled Automation and Commissioning Specialist to join our team in Midland, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, PLCs, and DCS systems, with experience in commissioning and testing.

The Automation and Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for testing and commissioning all control system components and loops as directed, ensuring that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within specifications.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating commissioning activities
  • Test and commission control system components and loops
  • Verify that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within specifications
  • Document all commissioning activities and results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems, PLCs, and DCS systems
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • H2S certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Emerson ROC 800
  • Comprehensive knowledge of control systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Work Environment:

The Automation and Commissioning Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The work environment will be primarily outdoors, with occasional work in a office setting. The successful candidate will be required to drive to various locations within the Permian Basin and work in a variety of weather conditions.
