We are seeking an experienced automation professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley's studio suite, including RS500, RS5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk ME Suite, CCW, and Drive Executive.

The ideal candidate will be able to create new PLC programs/HMI Programs from scratch based on conversations and continued communications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement automation solutions using Allen-Bradley's studio suite
  • Develop and maintain Python data collection software for multiple devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy edge devices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on automation technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in automation and programming
  • Extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley's studio suite
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, HTML, and Adobe
  • Experience with data collection and signaling protocols (MQTT, 4-20mA, 0-10v, Modbus, Ethernet/I)
  • Knowledge of cradlepoint/sierra wireless/pepwave cellular modems
  • General serial communication knowledge (ModBus protocol, ethernet/ip protocol, and ethernet)
  • General networking design and implementation of secure wireless radio systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work long days/weekends when asked
  • Willingness to learn new products and report their advantages/disadvantages
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
