Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software systems using Agile methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to design and develop software systems
  • Provide technical information and clarification during the software development lifecycle
  • Perform solution decomposition from customer epics to features and stories
  • Apply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk
  • Engage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document designs
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IC domain experience utilizing GEOINT data types and message formats
  • Good communications skills to support technical exchange meetings and design briefings
  • Engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology
  • Experience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration
  • Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or micro-service based systems
