About the Role

The CNC ensures high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the Medical Care Unit during their designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, they direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • A current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Current Multistate Compact License
  • At least 3 years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting (medical surgical experience preferred)
  • 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
Compensation and Benefits
