Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to drive sales within their assigned territory. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with agricultural clients, promoting our microbial solutions, and executing effective prospecting strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive business plans to achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic planning.
  • Train and mentor sales representatives on product knowledge, sales techniques, and effective territory management.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure sales representatives meet their targets.
  • Strategically divide the territory into manageable segments to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement territory plans to effectively cover key accounts and prospects.
  • Conduct regular sales calls with existing and potential customers to promote Pivot Bio products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within agricultural organizations.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard talented sales representatives within the territory.
  • Collaborate with Channel Development and Sales Effectiveness to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Identify and prioritize prospects within the territory through market research and networking.
  • Implement effective prospecting strategies to expand the customer base and generate new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in agriculture sector with a focus on independent inputs.
  • Proven track record of success in agricultural sales, preferably in the biotech or agribusiness industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
