Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our commercial construction projects in Nashville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures to maintain financial targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets company standards and industry regulations, conducting regular inspections and quality checks.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any obstacles that may impact project timelines or quality, implementing proactive solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, progress photos, and correspondence.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are a plus.
