Our client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management, is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join their team. This role will be based in Geneva, IL and will work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The position is a 6-month contract role with a competitive hourly rate of $38.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient results.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe manner.
  • Minimize downtime through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned building(s).
  • Inspect building HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
  • Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Preferred Skills:
  • Any related certifications.
