Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Head of Engineering and support the maintenance needs, both mechanical and electrical, of Operations and Production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, including motors, pumps, valves, agitators, circuit boards, VFDs, fans, blowers, and other utility equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, technical specs, electrical drawings, and other documentation.
  • Complete Work Orders in the Maintenance Connect System and document all associated work performed.
  • Input parts consumed for each job and provide pictures and documentation of work completed.
  • Conduct Root-Cause-Analysis and troubleshoot reoccurring issues.
  • Provide solutions to the Engineering Department and create Preventative Maintenance plans based on Root Cause Analysis.
  • Perform all work in a safe and clean manner, follow safety procedures, and report food safety risks and GMP standards.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, fork lifts, and lulls.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in an Industrial Maintenance or Electrician role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety requirements for working on industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with material compatibility, sanitary design, equipment drawings, and general utilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, and demonstrated grammatical and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, Work Order Systems, and certification in Sanitary Welding and Electrician.
  • Experience in food manufacturing industry and certification in forklift and man-lift operation.
