Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to join our team at Richardson Electronics, Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of various department assemblies and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot circuits and develop procedures for assembly and testing.
  • Assist engineers in the development and building of prototypes and/or test equipment used in general production.
  • Set up and run experiments to compare operational parameters between competing units and our own design products.
  • Assist in other electronic technician areas such as calibration of equipment under ISO9001, programming PLC's, and development of semi-automatic testing procedures.
  • Assemble and test microwave generator products, Siemens medical products, and RF type electro-mechanical assemblies.

Requirements:

  • Formal technical training in electronics, preferably microwave design and measurement systems.
  • 3-4 years prior electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to properly operate basic tools to help in prototyping and pre-production runs for new and/or developing products.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience in an ISO9001 company is highly desirable.

Working Environment:

Clean, well-lit, air-conditioned electronic assembly area. Some stations have ESD safeguards. Some testing may require use of lethal voltages and currents, so compliance with safety procedures is crucial.
