Join Us in Making a Difference
As a Clinical Psychometric Specialist, you will play a vital role in administering psychological assessments to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. Your responsibilities will include scoring assessments, compiling results, documenting behavioral observations, and managing computer-based evaluation procedures. You will also maintain testing supplies and engage in psychology-related initiatives such as research and projects.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in administering intellectual and personality assessments.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with Windows-based applications and various software relevant to the role.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work closely with a diverse patient population for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and score individual IQ and personality assessments for both children and adults.
- Generate computer-based reports for psychological evaluations and social histories.
- Document detailed observations of patient behavior during assessments.
- Maintain testing materials and oversee computer scoring services.
- Score behavioral checklists relevant to child psychiatry and psychology.
- Contribute to departmental research initiatives.
- Stay informed about departmental activities and educational opportunities.
- Adapt communication and behavior to meet the needs of various patient populations, ensuring respect for privacy and clarity in service explanations.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This position may require frequent exertion of 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects, with occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds. The physical demands exceed those typical of sedentary work. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
