Morrison Child and Family Services is a Joint Commission and Sanctuary accredited non-profit organization that provides a comprehensive array of services to children, adolescents, and their families. Our SAGE Youth Residential program provides long-term stabilization for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Milieu Counselor to join our team at Morrison Child and Family Services. The Milieu Counselor will provide long-term stabilization in a therapeutic environment for adolescent girls who have been commercially sexually exploited.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a supportive environment for youth to receive help with academics, encouragement in pursuing individual interests/hobbies, and addressing behavioral issues and trauma.
  • Create a culturally inclusive environment where youth can feel supported.
  • Ensure the safety of clients in the residential setting and during community outings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and Outlook.
  • One year of youth experience or a combination of education and experience related to working with youth.
  • Pass a DHS criminal history background check.
  • Valid Driver's License.
