Job Responsibilities:- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, tailoring your approach to their individual needs and levels of understanding.
- Position patients for treatment, verifying set-up and beam directional devices to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve complex treatment issues.
- Document patient treatment plans, maintaining accurate records and reporting any errors or discrepancies.
- Perform daily quality assurance on linear accelerators, simulators, and CT machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification or registry eligibility within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department, with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
