About the Role:

KJ's Market is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front-end staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service Standards:
    • Ensure that our front-end standards are met at all times, adhering to our No Noticeable Wait Policy.
    • Manage guest traffic flow, interacting with guests and monitoring productivity.
    • Work with the Store Manager and Guest Service Manager to optimize scheduling and labor guides.
    • Train cashiers to provide excellent customer service and manage guest requests.
    • Ensure the front-end is clean, neat, and clutter-free, and that the parking lot is free of debris and excessive carts.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide training and direction to front-end staff not meeting standards.
    • Communicate problem areas and performance issues to the Guest Service Manager.
    • Offer on-the-job feedback to maintain front-end service levels.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Process guest orders, including performing as a cashier or guest service clerk.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally and 15 lbs. constantly.
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of front-end operations.
  • Ability to supervise staff, including training and development.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrate successful use of math skills.
  • Ability to work well with computers.
