About the Role:

KJ's Market is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front-end staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service Standards:
    • Ensure that our front-end standards are met at all times, adhering to our No Noticeable Wait Policy.
    • Manage guest traffic flow from both the guest side and bagging side of the register, using this opportunity to interact with guests and monitor productivity.
    • Work with the Store Manager and Guest Service Manager to ensure that the schedule is written to provide the desired level of service within established labor guides.
    • Train cashiers to call additional hosts to the front end as dictated by customer needs and established daily call-up lists.
    • Handle guest and host requests, refunds, overrides, and check approvals promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure the front end is clean, neat, and clutter-free at all times, and that the parking lot is free of debris and excessive carts.
    • Be a positive role model for all front-end hosts in speech, manner, dress, hygiene, and integrity.
    • Block off unused check lanes when not in use.
    • Monitor and enforce all other front-end policies related to Asset Protection and Shrink Control.
  • Training and Development of Front End Hosts:
    • Provide training and direction to hosts not meeting front-end standards.
    • Communicate problem areas and hosts not meeting performance standards to the Guest Service Manager.
    • Provide constant on-the-job feedback to front-end hosts about performance to maintain front-end service levels.
  • Process Guest Orders:
    • Process guest orders, including performing as a cashier or guest service clerk.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally and 15 lbs. constantly.
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of front-end operations.
  • Ability to supervise hosts, including training and development.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrate successful use of math skills.
  • Ability to work well with computers.
