Position Title: Lead Site Reliability Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee comprehensive availability, security, and performance of essential applications and services.
- Investigate technical challenges, determine root causes, and propose solutions within the production environment.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to establish nonfunctional requirements and supervise their execution.
- Automate processes and enhance workflows within the infrastructure division.
- Adopt best practices to improve product reliability and availability.
- Enhance product dependability through monitoring, alerting, and the application of software development best practices.
- Identify and document nonfunctional defects, as well as validate system operations.
- Proactively diagnose performance and stability challenges using various tools.
- Oversee application and environment security.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in IT with a specialization in reliability engineering and Java.
- Proficient in performance analysis, scalability, and reliability testing. Familiarity with Python scripting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog and New Relic.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and microservices architecture.
- Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering practices and documentation.
- Familiarity with HCL commerce and IBM Sterling platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Capacity to quickly adapt to emerging technologies.
Note: Candidates must be currently located in Boston or willing to relocate. Visa status is not a factor as long as the required skills and motivation are present.
