Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Collector to join our team at Financial Center First Credit Union. As a key member of our collections department, you will play a crucial role in protecting the credit union's assets by collecting delinquent accounts.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of consumer loan collection experience and be proficient in the use of internal systems, such as Keystone and Akcelerant. You will also possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect assigned accounts by telephone, email, and mail correspondence to reduce delinquency, repossessions, and charge-offs.
  • Receive members by telephone, review their account, and attempt to determine the best solution for the credit union and member.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date activity reports on delinquent accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain records of collection activity on assigned accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of consumer loan collection experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of internal systems, such as Keystone and Akcelerant.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
