Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including medication management and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric and mental health nursing
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program at the master's or doctorate level
  • Board certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by a national nursing organization
  • Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New Mexico
  • DEA license and New Mexico Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
  • Medicare PIN and UPIN numbers, as well as Medicaid number
  • First Aid and BLS/CPR or ACLS certifications within 30 days of hire
