About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our agency's business intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee the development of BI solutions, including data modeling, system administration, and data visualization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful BI projects, including data analysts, business analysts, and IT professionals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with the organization's goals and business needs.
- Manage data extraction, manipulation, transformation, and aggregation, as well as evaluate user requests for new or modified programs and development of related business models.
- Program and automate reports using SSRS on Oracle and MS SQL Server DB Platforms.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify requirements for BI solutions and prioritize projects.
- Develop and implement data governance processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and control user access to BI tools and resources.
- Optimize BI reports and queries for improved performance and faster response times.
- Provide training sessions and user support to help employees effectively utilize BI tools for self-service reporting and analytics.
- Address and resolve any BI tools-related issues raised by end-users.
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time software experience in designing, programming, debugging, maintaining, implementing, and enhancing computer software applications, systems programming, systems analysis and design, data communication software, or database design and programming, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
- Or a satisfactory combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the above requirements.
