Job Title: MFA - Cost Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to join our team at Marco Fine Arts. As a Cost Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial and operational data to enhance cost efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive data and financial analysis to guide business decisions.
  • Maintain and update standard costing as necessary.
  • Analyze manufacturing operations to understand their impact on costs.
  • Assist in preparing financial packages for the Board of Directors.
  • Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate cost and expense variances to management.
  • Collaborate with management on initiatives aimed at achieving time and material savings.
  • Evaluate the current costing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Design and maintain regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as well as ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Support various financial projects as needed.
  • Manage the standard inventory system, establish inventory costing, and develop pricing strategies to maximize profit margins.
  • Conduct inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Drive the continuous development and implementation of cost accounting and inventory control processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and assertively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Oracle, NetSuite preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong ethics, honesty, and integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Ability to identify and address process deficiencies.
  • Professional demeanor at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in cost accounting or analysis.
  • Completion of cost accounting coursework.
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems, especially NetSuite.
  • Familiarity with standard cost.
  • Strong communication skills.
Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.
