Adjunct Professor of Philosophy

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Philosophy courses at Pasco-Hernando State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging and relevant instruction to meet the educational needs of assigned students.
- Respond to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of students with disabilities.
- Provide students with a course syllabus, which includes the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template.
- Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records to appropriate College personnel.
- Assess student progress and post student grades.
- Provide academic assistance to students, including office hours and appointments.
- Adhere to College and departmental policies.
- Participate in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development.
- Master's degree in Philosophy or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.
- Knowledge of ethics, logic, and philosophy.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders.
