Adjunct Professor of Engineering Technology

Pasco-Hernando State College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Engineering Technology courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, preparing, and teaching a variety of coursework, as well as interacting with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver instruction that meets the educational needs of assigned students, in accordance with the College's policies and procedures.
- Respond to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of students with disabilities, and interact with the Director of Disabilities Services to ensure appropriate accommodations.
- Provide students with a course syllabus, which includes the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template, and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean and Provost.
- Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records to College personnel within established deadlines.
- Assess student progress and post student grades.
- Provide academic assistance to students, including a minimum of one office hour per week, and participate in programs and activities that enhance professional development.
- Adhere to College and departmental policies, and review the Full-Time Faculty and Adjunct Faculty Handbook prior to teaching classes.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Master's degree in one of the qualifying fields, or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in one of the qualifying fields or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
- Qualifying fields include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Technology.
- Advanced organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with students, and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders.
