Position Overview:

The Tennis Court Maintenance Director will oversee all aspects of the maintenance and care of our tennis courts. This role encompasses the management of various court surfaces, including clay, grass, and hard courts, ensuring they meet the highest standards for both national and international competitions. The ideal candidate will lead a team of maintenance professionals, manage budgets effectively, and collaborate closely with tennis professionals to provide an exceptional playing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies for all tennis court surfaces, including daily, weekly, and annual schedules.
  • Lead, train, and support the tennis court maintenance team, ensuring high performance and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Tennis to schedule maintenance activities around club events and tournaments to minimize disruptions.
  • Oversee the budget for tennis court maintenance, including the procurement of materials and equipment, as well as vendor contract negotiations.
  • Manage the installation of new courts or renovations of existing ones, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in tennis court maintenance and surface technology.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to environmental regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tennis court maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of various tennis court surfaces, including clay, grass, and hard courts.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, budget management, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by maintenance schedules and events.
  • A genuine passion for tennis and a commitment to providing optimal playing conditions for members and guests.
  • Experience in hospitality or club environments is a plus.
