Maintenance Operations Supervisor

The Maintenance Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily maintenance functions while ensuring the execution of preventive maintenance tasks. The systems under supervision include HVAC, Plant Steam, Chilled Water, Cooling Water, Building Management Systems, Clean Steam, Compressed Air, Emergency Generators, and Water for Injection systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance personnel by establishing workloads and schedules, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Contribute to the operating budget for the maintenance department, manage inventory of materials and supplies, and track expenditures.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and resolve any arising issues.
- Assist in the recruitment and evaluation of maintenance staff, ensuring proper training in complex maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety training and practices among staff members.
- Respond to emergencies, coordinating with other responders and directing staff to ensure effective repairs and safety of utilities.
- Conduct various field maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
- Maintain records of work performed and materials used, and manage purchasing requests through the computerized system.
- Oversee facilities maintenance activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and documentation for complex multi-system equipment and systems.
- Possess expertise in the operation and maintenance of various systems including Water for Injection, HVAC, high-capacity chillers, and emergency generators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment and systems, performing trend analysis and reliability studies to optimize operations.
- Support maintenance personnel in creating and revising documentation related to maintenance tasks and procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a vocational/technical diploma or certification, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience Requirements:
- At least eight (8) years of experience in maintenance operations.
- A minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Four (4) years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the design and operation of manufacturing facilities and associated systems.
