Job Title: Assistant VP of Finance/Corporate Controller

Job Summary:

The Assistant VP of Finance/Corporate Controller is a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing the operation and management of the Accounting Department activities and staff. This role requires strong leadership and financial management skills, with a focus on maximizing financial performance and ensuring compliance with standard accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial leadership to ministry locations to maximize financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain location performance measures and benchmarks.
  • Assist Executive Directors and Nursing Home Administrators in developing Annual Budgets and identifying revenue-enhancing and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Coordinate compliance filings with Federal, State, and local authorities.
  • Ensure accounting policies, procedures, and practices are consistent with standard accounting requirements.
  • Supervise, hire, and evaluate Accounting staff and supervisors.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly financial statements, internal management reports, and Board Reports.
  • Collaborate with the VP Information Technology to select, develop, and implement corporate-wide financial management systems.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in overall financial strategic planning and development of financial feasibility for mergers, acquisitions, and debt structuring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Finance, with 10 years' supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Workday, and strong accounting IS system knowledge.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office products.
