Position Summary

As a Risk Management Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in executing various projects while delivering exceptional client services. Your primary focus will be on supporting SOC 1/SSAE 18 and SOC 2 audits.

In addition to these responsibilities, you may also assist in evaluations related to ISO, PCI DSS, and HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of the design and operational effectiveness of technology controls related to clients' internal processes.
  • Engage with clients to discuss technology-related risks and identify any control deficiencies within their operations.
  • Perform SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations while adhering to established audit guidelines.
  • Communicate the status of engagements and any issues to team members effectively.
  • Identify control deficiencies and provide recommendations for audit findings and control redesign.
  • Support various IT-related audit and accounting tasks for client engagements.
  • Execute audit testing for SOC 1/SSAE 18, SOC 2, SOC 3, and HIPAA engagements.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and client request lists for planning, fieldwork, and closing phases.
  • Lead client meetings and foster strong client relationships.
  • Oversee the evidence collection process and review documentation for quality assurance.
  • Provide timely feedback to team members and management.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a degree in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Candidates should have experience in evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls.

A CPA designation is preferred, or candidates should be pursuing relevant risk-based certifications (e.g., CIPT, CCSK, CISSP).

Experience of 1-3 years is required, ideally gained in a Big 4 or mid-tier consulting environment. Familiarity with SOC 1/SSAE 18, SOC 2 standards, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 is necessary.

Work Environment

This role may require on-site work at client locations, including occasional travel.
