We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Plant Operations/Environmental Services to join our team at UHS. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all plant operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and safety surveys to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for continuous improvement in plant operations and environmental services.
- Plan and conduct training and cross-training programs for staff.
- Coordinate the ordering, stocking, and monitoring of supplies and equipment.
- Negotiate and supervise contracts with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, Federal, State, County, City, or other governing body standards.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA, and state and local codes and standards.
- Current Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification or ability to obtain within one year.
- Experience in building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Intermediate level computer experience, including Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Previous project management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a diverse labor force.
