Logistics Route Supervisor

Position Overview

The Supervisor - Route Operations I is tasked with overseeing drivers, couriers, and security personnel along with operations outside the facility, typically managing up to 15 routes or over 600 ATMs and/or CompuSafes. This role is essential in assisting the City Manager or Senior Operations Manager in ensuring the secure, safe, and efficient operation of an armored transport service. The incumbent drives business execution and inspires team members to achieve optimal results while fostering continuous process enhancement. This position will lead a dedicated team of Route Operations staff and necessitates extensive coordination with other on-site functions. This role operates in a secured environment and requires the enforcement of protocols to safeguard the premises and assets of Brink's and its clients, as well as the safety of individuals on-site.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision to Route Operations team members at one of the market locations.
  • Ensure operational efficiency through effective interaction with market personnel and route evaluations.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment with the objective of ensuring that all Route Operations employees work and return home safely.
  • Utilize systems, equipment, and process redesign to drive ongoing improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Secure inventories by implementing controls and ensuring strict adherence to security protocols; proactively mitigate risk exposure and ensure the implementation of measures to reduce worker's compensation injury costs and security losses.
  • Establish and uphold accountability at the frontline of the market; schedule and develop staff; maintain positive employee relations and work environment while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere of employee engagement.
  • Uphold the highest level of integrity, dignity, and standards both internally and externally; maintain high ethical standards and protect the Brink's reputation by delivering reliable programs and services that meet client expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of operational experience in transportation and/or logistics.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Possession of a Class B driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
  • Compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to meet applicable firearms licensing criteria.
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in ATM operations and claims.
  • Prior experience as an armored transport driver.
  • Understanding of route analysis and logistics.
  • Familiarity with lean/process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and planning.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
