POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor is accountable to the Facilities Engineer Manager and acts as the lead supervisor during evening and weekend events at the Kroc Center/Railton Place. This role involves overseeing staff during events and performing essential maintenance tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise janitorial and maintenance personnel.
- Set up and manage audiovisual equipment for events.
- Ensure the general upkeep and cleanliness of facilities.
- Oversee venue setup, breakdown, and cleanup for special occasions.
- Conduct daily inspections of the facility, documenting issues and maintaining a maintenance checklist.
- Manage waste disposal and compactor operations.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and chemical spills.
- Identify maintenance needs and report to the Facilities Engineer Manager for further action.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols while educating staff and guests.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors as directed.
- Train janitorial staff in cleaning and deep cleaning procedures as necessary.
- Assist with major property projects and tasks as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (5 years preferred).
- Must be at least 21 years of age (required).
- Valid CA Driver's license (required).
- Experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and electrical work.
- Lift Truck Safety Course certificate.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Modern office equipment and relevant software, as well as janitorial and maintenance tools.
