Job Summary

eMolecules is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Lab Automation Research Associate. This position is responsible for sample order fulfillment, working in a high demand environment and requiring a highly motivated and technically skilled individual with compound management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in all areas of a complex high throughput compound management operation safely and with the highest level of quality, including receiving, weighing, dissolving, sampling, storing and plating compounds in a variety of solvents using both manual and automated techniques according to SOPs and best practice.
  • Perform data handling, inventory tracking, and accurate record keeping, as well as troubleshooting of robotic equipment and providing maintenance of all systems.
  • Coordinate client's incoming orders with laboratory operations and database integrations, utilizing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Develop instrument protocols, program automation as needed, and create SOPs to ensure all instrument documentation is kept up to date.
  • Interact with customers on technical and operational issues, and communicate clearly with management and colleagues at all levels.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is preferred, with experience in a high throughput operation in biotech, sample management or a similar organization.
  • Expert experience with Tecan, Tomtec, Brooks, Labcyte Echo or similar robotic liquid handling equipment is required.
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills are essential, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated pressures, and work effectively across functions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
