About the Role:
Upstate University Hospital is seeking a skilled Heart and Vascular Scheduler to join our team. This role plays a critical part in the coordination and scheduling of Heart and Vascular Center procedures, including Cardiac Catheterization, Endovascular, Electrophysiology, and Cardiac Ultrasound.
The ideal candidate will have an associates degree and two years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare setting or equivalent combination of education and experience. They should be able to manage multiple priorities, possess excellent communication and computer skills, and work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule Heart and Vascular Center procedures
- Serve as a liaison to internal and external departments/agencies
- Obtain insurance authorizations as necessary
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate HVC departments
- Assist Team leader with QA projects and perform support duties as required
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
